Partners in Ending Homelessness

The Milwaukee Coalition on Housing & Homelessness (MCHH) is a community partnership made up of housing providers, emergency shelters, service agencies, and local organizations united in the effort to end homelessness in Milwaukee. Guided by collaboration and compassion, we work together to create a more connected and effective system of support for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

At MCHH we abide by core philosophies and a set of mutually held goals. Membership of the Coalition includes the adoption and championing of these values.

Community Responsibility

We know that ending homelessness is a shared community responsibility. The systemic factors and social challenges that lead to homelessness must be addressed at every level—individual, local, and systemic—to create lasting change.

Productive Collaboration

We believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. As members of MCHH, we’re committed to working collaboratively with one another—sharing ideas, supporting each other’s efforts, and strengthening our collective voice to celebrate our successes and confront the challenges facing our community.

Low Barrier

We believe services for our neighbors experiencing homelessness should be as low-barrier as possible. At MCHH, we’re committed to improving programs and policies to remove obstacles and ensure everyone can access the support they need through CoC programs and partners.

Local Priorities

We’re guided by local best priorities, rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Safe, affordable, and stable housing, without prerequisites, is a fundamental human right and the foundation for health, dignity, and opportunity.

The MCCH is looking for local community members and service providers interested in homelessness and the services available to those experiencing homelessness.

Members of the MCHH strive to understand the needs of the homeless and work collectively to address these needs. This group also works to apply to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding to address the identified needs and distribute to community-based nonprofits.

A strong CoC starts with strong partnerships.

To join the MCHH, please complete this membership form and return it to MilwaukeeMCHH@gmail.com.
