Access to lived experts to support your organizations work is available to all CoC member agencies.

Through the Milwaukee CoC’s local planning grant the MCHH is able to create a budget allocation to compensate lived experts in their work building system capacity and improvement. Lived experts are paid from the MCHH after being invoiced by the hiring organization. Lived experts have a choice in compensation between gift cards, ACH transfers or Visa gift cards that can be sent digitally or physically to the consultant.

Equitable compensation is a priority for the MCHH. Lived Experts are not volunteers, they are a valuable asset to our CoC.
Compensations is dependent on activity. Hourly rated activities are compensated at between $15-$20/hour and some activities are compensated via a fixed stipend. Compensation rate will be shared with the lived expert as opportunities arise.
